You’re not on the list…..Thursday, October 06, 2005 - Current mood: dorky

So I’ve officially been an intern at Surface magazine now for 8 working days…It’s a very high stress environment, but pretty cool and I’ve learned more there in the past 8 days than I have at Enterprise in the past 3 years…The other four interns quit, so I’m basically going to be doing all the work until they get some more...Worked the guestlist of the G-Star store opening party that the magazine was sponsoring a couple weeks ago. Open bar, free appetizers, Dan the Automator was DJing, so it wasn’t too shabby, except that I had to turn away tons of very excited looking people that weren’t on the list, so I felt totally bad…Ended up at Popscene that night for the first time in ages, and felt really, really old. Liz, Theresa, and I were gonna hit up the Benetton party last week, but plans for that one didn't quite work out, and I heard there was no food! Such a shame...Then was supposed to go to the D-Zine party (new Italian furniture store in SF) the magazine was sponsoring tonight (pretty exclusive, by invitation only), food by Chaya, free sushi, and drinks by Bombay Sapphire, but the logistics and the planning just weren’t in my cards tonight either I guess. Watched a bootleg copy of the Corpse Bride. It was very sweet, in that Tim Burton Way. I liked it, what can I say, I'm an ex-goth, so I course I like all his stuff....The sewing/alterations business has been going well, so I’m very happy about that, and I’m very impressed with my hangbag dealer from the Laney College flea market. He just called me tonight to tell me he got a new shipment of Chloe bags…so awesome, fucking rad customer service skills, right? But what I really want is a new wallet, so if it’s not the black Chloe Paddington wallet to match my bag, or a Marc Jacobs, or Gucci, then he’s just gonna have to wait, since they’re not on the list…I’m going to eat a truffle now.
